This Saturday, there is the Youth Festival for Peace Online. Find out about the schedule!

The Youth Festival for Peace Online (YFP) brings, in this edition, the theme “Sowing Peace”. Various artistic, environmental and social initiatives will be presented showing that it is possible, through simple and voluntary actions, to cultivate peace in these difficult times.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 29, broadcasting at a new and unique time: 7 p.m. (Brasilia time). The access is open and free of charge.

Programme highlights

- Music

African Choir (Angola)

Group of young people who sing the love of God through traditional African rhythms. They will perform the song “Kumossy” (“Together” in free translation from Umbundu), which radiates the energy of unity and fraternity.

Choir of the Youth Campaign for Peace

Young people from all over Brazil, members of the Youth Campaign for Peace, will perform the song “Semeando a Paz” (Sowing Peace), which brings a message of hope to all.

Lucas Cervetti (Argentina)

Lucas is a musician, composer, pianist, writer and lecturer. His contemplative music leads us into contact with our inner world. He will pay homage to marine life with the song “Guardianas de los océanos” (Guardians of the oceans).

Samuel Ribeiro (Portugal)

Samuel seeks, through music, to express his love for God. In partnership with Gabriel (piano) and Gabriela (vocals), he will present the song “O melhor lugar do mundo” (The best place in the world).

Weslei Santos (Brazil)

Musician, singer, arranger and composer, Weslei will come with three original songs: “Te Olhar” (Fix my eyes), “Luz do Mundo” (Light of the World) and “Ao Rei dos Céus” (To the King of Heaven), which express his praise and devotion to Christ Jesus.

Amazon mother

Love for the Kingdoms of Nature, service, art and music are the pillars that drive the music video in honor of “Mãe Amazona” (Amazona Mother), made by the Youth Group from Recife, part of the Youth Campaign for Peace.
 

- Sports

Vídeo: George Rotatori, architect, skateboarder and biobuilder, makes experiences in the construction of skate parks. In this video, he and two young skateboarders, Gabriel and João Vitor, talk about the benefits of this sport.

Testimonial: What lessons can be learned from skateboarding? David, from Austria, will report his experience. Patience, reflexes, perseverance, learning to fall and, above all, to get up: these are some of those lessons.
 

- Conscious eating

Milena Hernandes (Brazil)

Nutritionist Milena will teach the recipe for a “seed crunchy”, as an incentive for us to adopt a more natural, healthy and vegan diet.
 

- Sustainability

Cooperativa de Agricultores Coletores Restauradores Agroextrativistas do Alto Rio Pardo - Coocrearp (Brazil)
(Cooperative of Agro-Extractivist Collectors and Restorers of Alto Rio Pardo)

A young woman presents the work of Coocrearp, an entity that promotes the collection and sale of native seeds, generating income for the community and helping to preserve and restore the Cerrado biome.

Vegetable Garden

Maria do Carmo, a collaborator of the Light-Community of Figueira (Minas Gerais, Brazil), teaches how to plant vegetables, spices and medicinal plants in small home gardens.

Eco House

Get inspired by the work of Eco House, an Argentine NGO that proposes steps to make the transition to a sustainable life.

Post-pandemic Planet

Learn more about this project, which seeks to promote environmental education through social networks.

Buffalas from Brotas

Love is healing the pain. Learn about the story of more than a thousand buffalas that were abandoned in Brotas (São Paulo, Brazil), in one of the biggest cases of mistreatment against animals recorded in the country, and are now struggling to recover thanks to the mobilization of volunteers of the animal cause.
